The Photographer’s Guild

The Guild is a small-group photography coaching service. It is a place to learn, share, and grow.

It is a place where photographers learn new skills, build relationships, and engage in meaningful conversation. Members can share their work and receive constructive feedback, discuss new creative ideas and concepts, request a demonstration of a skill or technique, request resources, and ask questions.

The Photographer’s Guild is led by creative photographer Steve J. Giardini. His years of teaching, coaching, and mentoring, along with his ongoing exploration of new techniques and advances, make him a perfect group leader and creative guide.

The Photographer’s Guild was created to help photographers develop and grow their knowledge base, skill set, and photography practice.

The Guild is founded on the idea that creative growth doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It happens through collaboration, idea sharing, and intellectual curiosity.

The Guild is a place where learning and sharing are purposeful and fun!

Guild Format & Cost

  • Group Size. Groups are limited to 7 members.

  • Commitment. Each group meets for 12 weeks. Total contact and content hours are approximately eighteen.

  • Cost. The cost for each 12-week period is $149.

  • Participation Options. Members of existing groups are encouraged to re-register for successive sessions. New groups are always forming and offer a variety of schedules.

Structure & Organization

  • Service Administration. The Guild is a Zoom coaching service.

  • Logistics & Schedule. Meetings are scheduled weekly. Each group meets on a specific day and time.

  • Session Lenght. Each session is 1-1/2 hours.

Expectations

  • General Agenda. The agenda is driven by the group's collective interests and priorities. Meetings will include a (1) learning element - a technique tip, requested skill demonstration, etc., (2) a sharing period - opportunity to share work, request feedback, or discuss an ongoing project, and (3) a discussion & question period - conversation about new approaches, books, upcoming education opportunities, recent workshop attendance, etc.

Cost: $134.00 $149.00

The first Photographer’s Guild group launches on February 16, 2026. Register for this inaugural group and receive a 10% discount for your first 12-week group session. The group is limited to seven participants.

This Guild group will meet weekly on Mondays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am beginning February 16 and ending May 4, 2026. The session will be led by creative photographer SteveJ. Giardini.
